Old Favorite: "Sunny Girlfriend" by The Monkees
As a kid, I loved the Monkees. As an adult, I still do. Especially Mike Nesmith. Sure, the other guys brought a ton of talent to the group, but Mike was in a class of his own, bringing that Texas twang and wearing a wool hat year round long before the hipsters started doing it. Mike wrote and sang my favorite Monkees songs, including this little ditty that makes me smile.
