Current Musical Obsession: Makthaverskan
While I usually go for the electronic stuff, every once in a while I feel the need for some angry girl music. Fortunately I stumbled upon Swedish band Makthaverskan, or as I like to call it, "Maktha-something," because my memory is just not enough to grasp that name, which apparently has no real meaning but roughly translates to "a female with a lot of power." So, girl power, you know, kind of like the Spice Girls, if they went through a bad breakup and listened to a lot of punk music and were Swedish and not delightfully vapid.
Also, how rad is this album art??
Here's "No Mercy," the song that turned me on to the band, though the whole album is worth a listen.
